Margaret`s Hope (Spring Delight) white tea 1st flush 2013

Margaret`s Hope (Spring Delight) white tea 1st flush 2013

I am really delighted to offer this awesome white tea from the world famous Darjeeling tea garden Margaret`s Hope tea estate. This exclusive white tea is really unique in aroma and taste. We have carefully selected this exclusive white tea this season to show the world that even Darjeeling produces some of the finest white teas in the world. This exclusive white tea is absolutely not similar like the regular Darjeeling white teas which are actually only a cup of hot water, with a fancy name and unnecessarily expensive.

This is a Tea Emporium guaranteed high quality Darjeeling white tea which will surely be appreciated by a black tea lover for its rich flavour and also by a green tea lover for its ultra smoothness.

This batch of white tea has been plucked from the “Edenvale” section of the garden, which is world famous for its P312 clonal bushes. Teas produced from P312 clonal bushes have a rich and distinct flowery aroma. Only one leaf and a bud are plucked by the expert pluckers of this plantation to produce this batch. This white tea is withered for over 48 hours and has been hand rolled.

The dry leafs are extremely beautiful which consists of bright white/greenish leafs and bold unbroken silver tips. The dry leafs releases flowery aroma of Jasmine flowers and fresh roses.
When steeped for 3 minutes the cup releases light yellow liquor in the cup and rich aroma of honey and roses raises high above the cup. Each sip is extremely smooth with clear hints of jasmine flowers and roses and slight fruity hints of dates and chocolates which remains on the palate as an after taste.

A true unique and super premium tea of the 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea which should be missed by a true Darjeeling tea lover!

Kalej Valley (Upper) sftgfop-1 ch. DJ-3/1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea

Kalej Valley (Upper) sftgfop-1 ch. DJ-3/1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea

We are very proud as well as happy to offer a superb lot of 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea from this plantation of Darjeeling. Kalej Valley and Dooteriah plantation in Darjeeling belongs to the Alchemist group of companies. The Kalej Valley tea estate is situated at a height of 2800 feet from the sea level and has china (camellia sinensis) bushes which are over 80 years old in age and are extremely matured and conceives some of the finest traditional Darjeeling teas during every harvest season.

We are extremely happy to provide this lot of tea as we are seeing each season that most of the high quality exotic teas are being produced from the young clonal bushes and clonal teas are known for one distinct character either it is fruity with notes of different fruits or flowery with hints of aroma of different flowers. The teas made from the old china bushes does not have ornamental  look like the clonals but has multiple layers of flavours within a single cup of tea if the tea is manufactured properly.  Slight mistake during the manufacturing of a tea plucked from the china bushes often makes the tea astringent in the cup or sometimes simply bitter.

We are really thankful to Mr. Gurung (Senior Manager) of the Kalej Valley and Dooteriah tea estates for giving us an opportunity to taste an excellent tea like this and to be very honest we have seen a perfect china variety 1st flush tea made so perfectly after many years.

This tea is plucked from 100% pure china bushes of this high elevation garden in Darjeeling. The dry leafs and shoots of this early lot of tea is greenish in appearance and has a bold look in this state. The dry leafs also releases mouth watering and delicious aroma of almonds and dry pine leafs in this state. When steeped for about 3 minutes this exceptional tea gives out bright yellowish liquor in the cup. Each sip reminds of fruity hints of green apples, cherries and guavas and ends with mellow after taste.

I am personally very satisfied with this lot of traditional 1st flush 2013 darjeeling tea and I am sure my tea lover friends will like it too!

We are once again very happy to have this excellent lot of 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea in our list of teas. After rejecting several samples from this plantation last month finally we have found the tea we were expecting from this traditional garden in Darjeeling.

North Tukvar is actually a very big tea garden in Darjeeling and it took about 20-25 days to clear all the yellow/winter leafs from its bushes and finally we were offered the first sample of the pure 1st flush 2013 tea from this plantation and without any doubt as soon as I tasted the tea I fell in love with this one. Tea Lovers who liked the Puttabong clonal queen 1st flush 2012 last year from our list will definitely fall in love with this one.

This particular batch of tea is plucked from the AV2 and BB 157 young clonal bushes of this plantation which are very young. The young clonal bushes were planted in the year 2008 so the made tea is very attractive in appearance and has a very high aroma in the cup and also in the dry leaf state.

I and my team of tea tasters are working very hard to procure the finest teas. On an average we are choosing 1 out of 9-12 tea samples which are being send by the gardens every day.

I am sure my tea lover friend will like this batch of tea too. I can guarantee that this is one of the champagne of teas in the 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea harvest.

An Approach to 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling tea

We are all very excited in the Darjeeling hills to see the winter pass away since the much awaited 1st flush 2013 crop season is about to start. Last year since the winter started off early so all most all the gardens had to stop their tea production by the 1st week of December 2012.

The 1st flush season for every Darjeeling estates is very important as this harvest fetches them high prices for their quality production. Some of the gardens in the lower portion of Darjeeling hills starts producing their 1st flush teas by March 1st week but the teas produced and offered before the mentioned period is mostly mixed leafs from the winter harvest and very small amount of real 1st flush leafs. For a true 1st flush harvest every garden has to get rid of the old leafs of winter from their bushes and once the whole section of the plantation gets rid of their old leafs then the real and true 1st flush harvest starts and we have noticed from last 2 decades that this harvest never starts before 1st week-2nd week of March.

It is slightly warmer now in February in Darjeeling than the month of January and the right temperature difference between day and night for a good 1st flush crop is about 9-11 degrees Celsius. Teas produced from the lower elevation garden looks more green in colour since the leafs contains more chlorophyll and the teas produced from high elevation are slightly darker is colour and contains lots of silver tips.

A very good and well made 1st flush tea should have well twisted greenish leafs and lots of silver tips. The liquor of the tea should be light golden (almost like champagne) colour and the aroma should be tenderly flowery/ fruity and a slight astringency should remain on the palate as an after taste.

We have already started tasting some samples from few low elevation gardens in Darjeeling and personally feel that the true 1st flush have not started coming yet. As usual we are eagerly waiting for exclusive 1st flush teas from high elevation and reputed plantations of Darjeeling.

We request all our valuable tea lover friends who have been blindly trusting us and buying our high quality teas from us from our online store or our retail store in Darjeeling to have patience and wait our list of true and high quality 1st flush 2013 Darjeeling teas.

We will inform you all through newsletters and our Face book page.
