Sungma Organic Musk sftgfop-1 DJ 151 Darjeeling tea 2^nd flush 2015:

     We are really glad to offer our 1^st selection of 2^nd flush 2015 Darjeeling tea from the organic Sungma tea estate of Darjeeling. This is one of the most reputed gardens of Darjeeling which belongs to the Jayshree tea & Industries group.

    

     Since Sungma tea estate is a very high elevation garden of Darjeeling and consists mostly of pure china bushes. It generally starts its 1^st flush harvest late but during the 2^nd flush it produces some of the best Muscatel Darjeeling teas. This year Sungma produced its peak 2^nd flush 2015 Darjeeling teas from 10^th of June 2015 onwards. We continuously tasted samples from various plantations from the last week of May 2015 and I must admit that I was very lucky to receive the sample of this awesome batch of tea from them.

     This particular batch is a classic style super premium organic Darjeeling tea plucked from the high elevation 100% pure china bushes of this prestigious plantation of Darjeeling.

    The dry leafs are extremely dehydrated in this state which is a true sign of a high quality muscatel 2^nd flush Darjeeling tea and are sorted small in size. The dry leafs gives out delicious aroma of fresh chocolates, ripe grapes and a hint of sandalwood in this state.

    When steeped for complete 5 minutes the cup gives out reddish golden liquor with a blast of exotic fruity aroma of ripe grapes and peaches. Each sip is extremely fruity, smooth and leaves a rich muscatel taste on the palate as an after taste.

     A superb classic Darjeeling muscatel tea which will not only please a tea lover`s palate but will surely win a wine lover`s heart.

     Thurbo tea estate is situated in the Mirik valley of Darjeeling district. The climatic conditions of Thurbo tea estate is slightly warmer than other tea growing areas is Darjeeling. Thurbo Tea Estate is world famous especially for its clonal teas. In recent times it has gained appreciation worldwide for its clonal black and white Darjeeling teas.

     Since it has been raining quiet often in Darjeeling during the 2^nd flush harvest we have been choosing the right 2^nd flush batches strictly than previous years as we do not want any low quality teas in our list.

     We were delighted to receive the sample of this particular batch. The dry leafs are extremely well crafted and is a delight for the eyes and nose in its dry leaf state.

      When steeped for complete 5 minutes the cup releases bright golden liquor. As the tea cools down in the cup each sip reminds of crisp white wine. There is the dryness to the tongue, the slight hints of different fruity flavours that you coax can tease until they fade or morph into something else entirely.

      This is a superb offering of the 2^nd flush 2014 Darjeeling tea harvest and should not be missed by a true Darjeeling tea lover!
